Workshops require meticulous planning and are not spontaneous events. Before students arrive, several preparations take place in my studio.
Getting Supplies
To help students get started right away, pre-cut fabric, thread, tools, machines, and kits are laid out.
Creating a Class Flow
Strike a balance between teaching and practical experience. My objective is for students to leave with a completed project and the knowledge gained.
Creating the Scene
The studio is set up to encourage discussion, inspiration, and creativity. Music, wall quilts, and well-lit areas set the mood.
The Significance of This
Students are a part of a creative community when they enter my space, not just for sewing.
